S8 has made me a little sad

I am a serial phone switcher and I really look forward to the next phone to get a new feature or two. This S8 has absolutely killed any desire I have for a new phone! Coming Iphone 8 or Pixel 2? Not interested. I have my S8 next to me without being locked. When I pick it up the home screen comes on. I get the notifications I want. I have a beautiful Mujjo black leather case on it. It looks and feels great. Let's say now that I used to be a serial phone switcher. Never thought I would be keeping a phone for a long time. Samsung has a home run with this phone,

Personally can't wait for the next round of phones like Note 8, Pixel and iPhone. Got bored with the S8 and current flagships

Especially excited for Pixel 2 and iPhone both with great software and mimicking Samsung's infinity design. So yeah I'm pretty excited for fall.

I was excited for the Note 8 until the specs came out and I found that it is not really any kind of an upgrade over the S8 plus. I will be waiting for the S9 plus. I do like some of the other phones except the pixel. I would never pay top dollar for vanilla android. That would be like IOS to me.

Nailed it on how I am with phones as well. The thing that has kept me with the Galaxy series and that this phone has the complete package. These are the things I found I needed the most: wireless charging, water resistance, Samsung Pay, great form factor, Samsung Health, apps work as intended, amazing screen, the list goes on. I have yet to have a phone that matches in regards to features I use. Sad that only the Note 8 or S9 will be the next upgrade. - >

Have to agree, this phone is amazing. Samsung have designed a phone that is simply brilliant on every level. Don't care about the new iPhone, never have about pixel.

Good phone. I'm a serial switcher. Hopefully would hold on for a year or more and switch to Note 9/Pixel 3. No more iPhones unless they really open up the system

I'm a serial switcher too and love my s8 just now BUT the Note 8 is nearly here and it's like an s8 Plus but with awesome dual cameras...so it's definitely not killed my desire to switch

The S8+ is such a nice phone, I have one on Verizon and one on AT&T. Added the beautiful Mujjo leather case, and it made an excellent phone even better. Hard to say if I'll want a Note 8, but I'm certainly not in any hurry. Maybe down the road they'll just combine the Note and S8+. If you want to use the stylus, use it. If not, don't.

They are both S8+'s. I like the screen size. One of them is black, and the other is silver. The black one has the nice leather case, because it's for business and every day use. The other is for when I'm up on my rural property roughing it, so it has one of those lifeproof water proof cases on it just in case

I don't have any real issues with my S8,other than the size. I fully intended to use this as a temporary device until the Note8 came out. If the Note8 is way overpriced or requires a huge down payment, I may just go within the S8+ instead until the S9 comes out. For some reason, I seem to be mistyping a lot more on this over previous phones.

I can't believe you have bad battery life on a S8 my plus can go two full days on average use and 15 hours on heavy use. Sounds like you might have a defective one.

It's not defective. It only has a 3000 mAh battery. It's not that big at all.
