Samsun S4 MIc issue...Help

I have a Samsung S4 I545 , I had a bad charging port . I bought a new one online & replaced it , all seemed to go good except I can only use phone on speaker phone. Seems the mic don't work now. I took it back apart to check install & rubber mic hood for dirt everything looks OK but still can only use speaker phone . Is there something I'm overlooking, some software issue or reset, bad replacement part. Any help is gratefully appreciated........
