If I get the Note 4 will I need to have to sign up for a samsung account in order to transfer ringtones and music to the phone, or can I just plug it into my computer and drop and drag? I do not fancy having to use samsung software to do that.

You don't have to do it, but if you are willing to, the SmartSwitch app they have works great. Moved everything I wanted from my S4 in about 10 minutes.
