Samsung Active Watch google assistant

[Android Central Question]

I have galaxy active watch. I was trying to install google assistant on it and followed the instructions in that youtube video that is shown after you install gassist.net from google play. But looks like gassist app is now removed from the galaxy store.
If you go to the gass website, returns same message "app is not available"

any thoughts?

It's still there. Galaxy software doesn't make it easy. Not intuitive at all. On your phone, go to Galaxy Wear>then the Discover Tab on the bottom>then "View More" under the "Top watch apps" when you scroll down>then search for GAssist. Should be right on the top of your search results.

Forgot to add to make sure you are on the "apps" tab when you do the search. It settles on the "watch Faces" by default.

Hi thanks for your response. When I click on the "more" it takes me to the Galaxy store app anyway!

But I think I might have sussed it. It's the version of galaxy store app on my phone. It' s 6.6.02.6. Two of my friends can see the app to install- their version is 4. something.
I have a strong suspicion that in the latest version of the Galaxy store they removed gassist to force people to use stupid Bixby.
