New here.
I don't have Galaxy Note 20 but I think my question is still pertinent. I have Galaxy S9. My photos are synced to OneDrive, Google Photos and SamsungCloud(Gallery) (but I reached my limit in SSCloud so there are likely more photos in OneDrive and Google than SSCloud). Yes, all super redundant, but it's just what happened over the years.
-If I merge SSCloud with OneDrive per SS's instructions, will I wind up with duplicates of all the photos from SSCloud? IOW, I assume SSCloud has no way of knowing that a photo in SSCloud is already in OneDrive. One poster in another forum had this very problem with duplicates and it makes sense to me that duplicates would happen.
-If duplicates will occur after merging accounts, then should I delete all my photos in SamsungCloud BEFORE merging with OneDrive, and then do the merge? Is this the "best plan" for avoiding duplicates?
-If the above is the best plan, when I take the first step and delete all the photos from SSCloud, will they then disappear from Gallery on my S9? IOW, does the sync work both ways? (I want to know so that I can monitor expected behavior.)
-If the above is true, and they disappear from Gallery, once I merge the (empty) SS account with OneDrive, will all the photos that were already in OneDrive now show up in Gallery? IOW, does OneDrive push them to Gallery or is Gallery simply an app that only shows what's on my phone locally in MyFiles>DCIM... folder?
The main thing is that I DO NOT want duplicates of a zillion photos. I know there are duplicate removal tools but I do a lot of photo editing for work and this makes de-duping very tricky. (6 versions of the same photo, kinda sorta, but not exactly).
I don't think I need any photos that are in SSCloud, but I would like to have them remain on my phone in Gallery. I considered downloading what's in SSCloud for safety's sake, but per SS, if you download, then you can't merge.
I know this was all rather circuitous, I hope it makes sense.
