I was so sure I'd sit this one out, but I kept looking at that dang graphite color, and it looked better and better. Let me go find a case that color and save $$$ lol

No, still didn't get Rakuten discount with new order. This time they said they will request a confirmation from Samsung. Will see.

When did you find out the Rakuten rebate didn't go through? It showed up in my Rakuten account about 30 minutes after I placed the order. I'm still in the pre-order phase according to Samsung but was charged.

Usually if a cashback doesn't show within 24 hours, there is a problem.
 
For those whose Samsung.com status changed to Back-ordered, had your credit card been charged? And if so, was the charge subsequently refunded?
 
Well it says 2 to 3 days so I'll see what happens tomorrow. I just thought there would be a email is all. Maybe being Sunday is the issue

They won't add cashback until 30 days after you get phone. Will not give you rebase when you could return it....at least from past experience.
 
sadly, my expected delivery date on samsung.com JUST CHANGED an hour ago from 2/13th to 2/17th!

darn it. may i ask what expected date on samsung.com folks are seeing please?

On the app mine still says 2/17 and has the cancel button.

My FedEx label still shows 2/13 by 8PM

I can understand that, but I don't understand it's not getting an email from them then let me know I made an order. In this regard they are like Samsung they keep you in the dark

I would just like to know it's going to go through for sure as the $95 I'm getting through them makes or breaks my decision to go to Samsung so I'm kind of in a hard spot trying to decide on which way to go Verizon or Samsung.

Just saw another way to save. PayPal has 4% cashback for Samsung.com orders. Look in the "Deals" section of your PayPal account and save the deal to activate. It shows good for another 5 days. Probably can combine with Rakuten and pay with PayPal.

PayPal usually credit your account after 3 months of your order date.
 
Grrrr....I did it. Unlocked 512gb Titanium. I figure I've got plenty of time to back out of the deal if I get buyer's remorse. I just didn't want to run the risk of losing the $150 accessories, free memory upgrade, and Rakuten 15% vs waiting to see if trade in value increases. I also said if the Titanium goes on backorder before mine is shipped, I'll cancel. I really don't need this phone. Ugh...

My husband got Titanium haven't checked to see if his says backordered or not. But I am like you the accessory credit which I may sell the buds since they were out of the purple and I have the last model purple ones. I loved the Lavender phone which is what I got but your right the free memory upgrade and the Ratuken which is new for us so we both got extra $40 plus the 15% so I think we did pretty good and I'll skip the next one and keep this for at least 2 years or more hopefully.
 
even though my fedex page still says 2/13th, i doubt that has any meaning.

reason: fedex doesn't know when samsung will actually hand them the boxes, so they will only know AFTER receiving the boxes as to when we might be getting our phones.

however, samsung.com's page changing from 2/13th this morning to 2/17th is something entirely different, as samsung.com knows when they expect to hand over the boxes to FedEx.

so sadly, since my samsung.com page changed from 2/13th to 2/17th this morning, it means that it will come later than we had expected.
 
Just checked my order. 512GB blue s23 Ultra now says mine is backordered when I check status. :(
Are you looking online Samsung website or are you looking at the Samsung shop app. Mine is showing same thing on the app, but website shows the 17th, no delay.

If they are going on backorder already that means they are selling a lot of phones or they made fewer expecting a decline in sales. If I was betting man, I would say the latter if they are really going on backorder already.
