Just checked my order. 512GB blue s23 Ultra now says mine is backordered when I check status. :(

That's why you never order special colors, always delays. I always get black and get mine two to three days before retail stores start selling them. You can always buy whatever color case you want after the fact.
 
How is the status going for you now? I ordered and said 17th, today it does backordered. Did it change back?

I got to thinking more on this, when Samsung goes to backorder status on your order they usually send a email stating it. Did you get a email?

It's probably just a glitch. Their order page so does 17th.

I ordered unlocked green 512. With the low trade INS, I can't imagine a back order already, if any

Still saying "backordered" in the shop Samsung app with no expected date, but showing expected delivery of 2/17 with fast shipping and no notice of backorder on the actual website. I also haven't gotten an email from Samsung regarding any delay. It wouldn't be a proper pre-order experience without some proper drama, right? Ha
 
Maybe things are moving a bit faster this year. I have capital one and when I pre-ordered it deducted the full amount right away on my card. Then like in the past went back onto my card again and now it was just charged back onto my card. Usually they deducted it to see if the card works then refund your card and then charge it again right before it ships. Anyone else have this quicker this time around?

I ordered on the 2nd, card shows charged on the 3rd and the charge is still sticking as of now (6th) with no other transactions from Samsung showing on my online purchase history and I have already paid for it in full out of my bank account.

Got a FedEx shipping label between 5 and 6pm today with a expected delivery date of the 15th and Samsung.com still says expected delivery 17th, In Process, and the cancel button is still there even though I have paid for the phone in full already lol.
 
Quick question: I have never tried to return a phone ever in my life regardless of retail store or online from Samsung and I am still so on the fence if I want the thing or not, can you receive it, try it out, and send it back for a refund if you change your mind?

My experience with the phone folks has been underwhelming. They just want to end the call and basically would say anything to just get it over with. For less to upset customers, they'll just say everything is on track. That's my one person's experience. Ymmv.

I want all of us enthusiasts to get our phones earlier!

I rarely see from past orders that phones arrive before Tuesday, mostly they arrive on Wednesday ;)
 
And yet again...
If they are on backorder, why are the delivery dates not showing it on the order page? I think this is just a normal Samsung glitch. They are terrible at this process, they have gotten better. A few years ago it was pure nightmare ordering thru Samsung.

I myself think if you don't get a email saying your order is delayed it will be good to go yet. They usually send emails when the order is delayed or shipped. Their app and website always do this crap. One year nobody knew their phones shipped until FedEx had it saved FedEx notified us. Keep a eye on the FedEx also.

Watching the Samsung website or app is usually delayed before updating anything there , even when they send a message to your phone if you opted for that , the best case is tracking through FedEx or UPS whoever it's coming through with
 
After a year and a half with an iPhone 13 Pro Max, I am glad to be back with Samsung. Went with the unlocked S23 Ultra 512GB in phantom black with the credits going to a pair of Galaxy Buds2 Pro in graphite. No trade-in for my old phone as that will go to my wife so she can give her 11 Pro Max to our daughter later in the year but I traded in an old Samsung tablet for $150.

Here's my question for the group... I have 2 emails from Samsung - one for an order confirmation and one for my receipt. But, when I log into my Samsung.com account, there is no pending order. Just a message that there are no orders to display. Is anyone else seeing this?

I was with you until the no pending order comment. I had the same 2 emails but my order shows up online and in the app

I thought so too but it became less strange when I realized that I had set up a new account so that I could qualify for one of Samsung's special offers programs and I was checking the wrong account. :-[
 
What is the deal with carrier trade ins better than going directly through Samsung? We are on Magenta Max 55+ plans and trade in on our Note 20U brings costs down to almost nothing but hate the idea of a carrier phone again.

So what's the catch?

With AT&T you have to sign a 24 or 36 month payment plan with them for the phone essentially locking you in with them for that period of time. Also that $1000 ends up being an account credit to your phone payments. I could be wrong but I believe if you end up paying it off ahead you have to pay the remaining balance of the phone and lose the remaining account credit.

ATT is offering up to $1000 credit spread across 36 months, so if you pay your phone off early you will lose some of that $1000 credit.
