Samsung (direct from them): Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

hey did anyine see the promo with T-Mobile where if you buy one Note 8 you cam get the second note 8 for free? im thinking aboit cancelling my order through samsung and ordering through T-Mobile.
Meh I still like the $425 Note 7 offer compared to that. Minimal headache and don't have to open a new line, wait for master card, then cancel the new line, sell the second phone etc.

If you are not a Note 7 owner or was planning to buy 2 phones or opening a new line, sure it's a great deal. Also BOGO offers on T-Mobile are common and they keep offering that every few months.

Didn't it require a new line of service as well?
 
Opps! My mistake. Apologies. I was misread. It reads CONFIRMED (not "confirm") And you're right I definitely would have been concerned to "confirm" especially since it's not selectible. I don't recall seeing the Confirmed message either.

Weird. Mine says order placed. Not confirmed though. Maybe cause I'm looking on Samsung shop app?
 
I decided to take advantage of being a Note 7 owner and I'm trading in a Note 5 for hopefully $425, with 24 month financing for my mom. Just waiting on a confirmation email.

My thoughts exactly. This is why I decided to order one of my phones through Samsung. The other is too much of a headache for me.
 
Quick question for those who preordered, how long does it take to get a confirmation email from Samsung?

I called AMEX to advise them that the charge would be coming through. They told me not to worry about it. It would go through. Today, they denied the charge and told me to have the charge reprocessed. I call Samsung.com, they told me my order was cancelled and I would have to reorder. I tried to use the same email address from first order to get the note 7 discount and it said offer as already been redeemed. I call Samsung back to see if I can get the discount again. They told me I would have to email proof of purchase and wait up to 5 days for the discount to reset.
Same exact thing happened to me. I told my CC company that the charge is okay, and fought with Samsung.com customer "support" for about an hour - insisting on talking to a supervisor. The guy kept saying there is nothing he or a supervisor could do. I kept saying I don't care - I still want a supervisor. Eventually he came back and said he just checked again and my order is not canceled. Hmmm... how did that happen? Now my order is showing as Order Placed, with option to cancel. Now I'm waiting to see a charge go through again. Samsung.com living up to the horrid reputation they deserve. Maddening trying to deal with them.
 
Also, you can only order black unlocked from Samsung, right? Best Buy you can order the grey one unlocked but has delivery date Oct 1st I believe the last I checked.

I just checked my Samsung account and it now says order confirmed!! Hopefully I get mine Wed since I paid the extra for overnight shipping. Is there any chance they ship this weekend and we get it on Sunday or Tue?

Same here, I was going to jump on this deal, but the headache and also the fine prints... Plus the down payment for both phones, taxes & fees.

I just decided to order from T-MO. I got the BOGO not so deal.
 
Anyone know what shipper Samsung usually uses?For phones.
