You guys are way ahead of me but I purchased my Verizon black Note 8 today with the charger and card gifts. Probably should have spent the $50 for the 5100mAh portable battery charger but didn't know it was an option and it would put me over $600 so I passed. My tentative delivery is the 14th but literally just ordered. Hope I can get used to 18/9 ratio. Hope they include a card puller too.

My father has his in hand. Maybe I should have ordered from Verizon. On the flipside, now he has to go through the process of signing up for the promotion rather than having it immediately.

I'm happy to be getting my phone before 9/15, which I assume most of us who preordered will agree with. But it is confusing/frustrating that carriers can send their orders out faster than Samsung directly. Particularly in the case of us who were Note 7 owners who Samsung told we'd "be the first to get the device". I'm not about to have a breakdown over such a first world problem, but from a business perspective, IMO, it just doesn't seem like good business

I know we need to take everything a Samsung Tech says with several grains of salt. But, here's the latest thing I have. With some people seeing their cards charged by Samsung today, it's possible that something could happen today/tonight.

Samsung hasn't even taken the money from my account and others are getting tracking numbers...I wish I could fly to Samsung and just pick up my phone. I really hope I get a tracking number 2morrow

If I have to leave friday and I'm gone will UPS still try to deliver during mandatory evac? the euro model most reliable forecast model basically has a cat5 hitting just to my south by about 30 miles. my house will not even be standing due to surge if this is the case.

Ups won't be trying to deliver during a mandatory evacuation, if anything that could delay you getting your phone for awhile.

I've posted one or twice about not sweating it concerning the no action situation with Samsung/UPS. Our phones will come and we'll be okay. But...I've just come from the Verizon Note 8 thread. People are receiving their phones and posting pictures of them.

Still not sweating it. But, I've got to admit, it's a lot harder now. The Verizon folks have their phones in their hands. And I'm just sitting here refreshing the UPS tracking page every 5 secs.

Ah well. Time to go do something else.

I am thinking it is an UPS vs FEDEX. I ordered through Verizon and they are using UPS for my phone. I am not getting any updates from UPS except that it is sitting in Virginia. Estimated delivery is the 7th. All the deliveries today are with FEDEX.

This is my second go round with Samsung and all is normal... They did this last year with note 7. Carriers got theirs before Samsung sent theirs, and customer service reps all tell different stories on any kind of status. If they do ship today that will be something different from last year. After going through the debacle last year I swore them off till they came up with $425 deal through Samsung. Like others have said I figured to get it near release day, so If I get it earlier than that it is just icing on the cake.

The difference being that last year noone got them till the release date or a day before. Samsung better not make us wait till the 15th after everyone else getting theirs this early.
