The phone isn't due to be released for 9 more days, what in the world is ridiculous about this? If you get your phone early, great, if not and it comes on the 15th, also great. I ordered mine on the 1st, haven't seen movement and am truly hoping it shows up by the 14th because I am going on vacation, but if it doesn't then I'll have it when I get back. No big deal. Not trying to bash on anyone but don't complain if you don't get yours tomorrow or Friday, or even next Thursday. You'll get it and in 2 weeks you won't care when it came.

I was watching a video from Flossy Carter and he said his trade in value for the S7 is only $300... I was going to trade in an extra iPhone 5 I have lying around but now I'm worried it won't be worth $425... Anyone know what phones are valued? My iPhone is in perfect condition and should meet all their requirements.

I don't understand what you mean? When I ordered, it said $425 for an iPhone 5. I used the direct link from Samsung for former note 7 owners. If they are playing games with the price now, then I will just return the Note 8. That would be fraud.

My turn to be pissed, but only because I paid for overnight shipping and mine ship via 2nd Day. It hasn't physically shipped just order processed.

i paid extra and it's 2nd day too. I better get a refund for it. Such bs.

The thing is we won't know the trade in value until we send in the phone. If you do end up returning the Note 8 cause the value of the phone you traded in is less than $425 you'll be out a Note 8 and Samsung won't return the phone you sent in so you'll lose that phone too.

I'm sure it's *up to* $425, depending on the condition of the trade-in, but I just checked the Note 7 owners' link again, and it's still saying -$425 for each of those categories. I don't see where it's been broken down to lesser amounts depending on the phone.

Well you have me concerned. It does seem to say "max trade in value $425" and then it lists IPhone 5 and above. My understanding was so long as the phone was on the list and met the criteria (eg powers on, screen works, wiped) you would get the $425. If Samsung screws me on the trade, I guess it will be the last Samsung phone I buy. I wonder why they changed the prices on the Former Note 7 deal unless volume is too high?

Check the amount that you've been charged. Mine still shows $550 on Samsung's site, but when I check my bank account, it's $536. I'm still not thrilled. It would have been awesome to get it today since I paid for overnight, but as long as they're not charging me, I'm only slightly annoyed instead of angry. I know it's different for you since you've got the hurricane stuff to deal with so the delay definitely makes more of an impact.

Also, like others, I have a deadline to return my trade of 9/20 which is funny since apparently Samsung thinks I already have my Note 8. I'll say this, it's better than ordering from HTC direct. Now that's a real cluster.

Samsung says release date 15th....actual release date the 5th
Samsung should atleast give me an update on my order thats all I'm asking for really

I thought it was $425 for Note 7 upgraders and $300 for regular trade in? If you use the link they sent you, it says $425. If you don't, it says $300. I tried the link and even though it says it's redeemed, it still says $425.

It seems as though the value Samsung places on you being a prior Note7 owner is $125. The maximum trade in value for phones if you didn't own a Note7 is $300, if you were a previous Note7 owner its $425. So at a minimum they should offer prior Note7 owners a minimum $125 for any used phone on their list and a maximum of $425. If you send in a GS5 as a trade you'll likely get less than the maximum value, if you send a GS7 edge+ you will get the full $425. Just saying!

Doesn't matter, they are either paying $425 as mentioned in the trade in offer or they are going to take back the Note 8 and get charged back from my credit card for whatever additional amount they decide to charge along with BBB complaints and lots of bad press. Up to them how many pissed off previous Note 7 owners they want. I'm completely fine however they want to deal with the $425 trade in.
My gut feeling is they will honor the $425 trade in since this is a special trade in offer for previous Note 7 owners and not regular trade in, but anything could happen.
