Boy, UPS wasn't kidding when they said END OF DAY. My Note 8 just arrived at 9:12pm! I had given up hope, but FINALLY!! Now time to play.

I placed my order on Sept 4, using the Note 7 promo, unlocked Note 8, I received and email informing that the shipping date was October 1st.

I really hope to be surprised by an early shipping, arriving no later that Sept 20th.

How do you know when your expected shipping date will be? On the samsung.com order page, it only says "Order is delivered 2 business days from Shipped date".

After I ordered, I never got an email.

How can I find out what my date is?

The preorders must have gone really well on this phone. I didn't think we typically see Notes delivery date pushed out like were seeing for some who just ordered recently. Like now people are getting October as their delivery dates.

Well just like that within the same hour, my order from 8/27 changed from Pre-Order to Confirmed (well, the guy from Samsung said it was confirmed the day before, so there seems to be a lag) and then I received an email that it was shipped via FedEX 2 day delivery today, so I won't get it until the 11th (Monday) - which is the date that they said on my confirmation when I originally placed the order.

I am a former Note 7 owner. I did not get 1 day shipping like some others have suggested that we all were getting otherwise I'd be getting it tomorrow. I opted for the 2 day shipping so no upgrade. For me it's coming from "BRIGHTPOINT NORTH AMERICA" like my other past shipments from Samsung (I guess it's dependent on where you live) and it is in Indianapolis right now.

I got the ATT one. Folks that got the ATT one, did it come in the Samsung box, or a stupid ATT box? lol

I also placed my order today. Trading in a mint condition iPhone 5. Getting the charger and sd card.
I saw the October 1st when I selected the unlocked phone. Switched to the AT&T variant and my date changed to September 15. Paid for 1 day shipping so I'll have it sept 16th. If fed ex delivers Saturday. Otherwise I'll have to wait till Monday the 18th

I can tell you that FedEx won't ship on Saturday. Samsung opts for weekday delivery only it seems.
