Yep... That's how they do... You stalk the tracking... Delivery day... You get up early n wait around not wanting to make moves cuz they love to say you wasn't home when you was sitting by the door... All dayum day... And here they are ringing your door bell at 9:30pm n you're winding down for the day...dont get me started when they mark your delivery as delivered... Run outside... Thinking did you just leave my package for someone to steal.... You get to calling the 800 number to be placed on hold only for them to ring your bell 10 minutes later... Dayum savages lol

So my order just changed to confirmed.
Att, Orchard Grey, note 7 discount, ordered 9/3. Only thing still displayed as pre-order is the SD card. And my iPhone trade phone I got from eBay arrived yersterday. In pristine condition, clean imei for $50. Things are looking up.

Now I was sitting here waiting and they delivered my tv, in the original manufacturer's box in living color, and left it by my door. NEVER KNOCKED. Just left it there IN THE BOX FOR THE WHOLE WORLD TO SEE and rolled out. I happened to check the tracking info and noticed it said "delivered." I was like WTF?!?!

Got my Sprint 8/24 order this morning at 9am I am loving this phone.

Also love the fact that my local UPS guy gave me his cell number to meet him when I have packages coming otherwise I would not have gotten my Note until 9p

While waiting for my order status to change, I got a notice that Target has a deal now for the GN8. It doesn't offer TMo as a carrier, so I didn't look at it very closely. It includes a $150 gift card, but I don't know if you can still get the Samsung offer of a 360 cam or Charger/Card. It may be worth considering for some of you tho. (There's no separate Target pre-order thread afaik.)

Yep classic delivery system... And it's every carrier I've dealt with except DHL... always on point and they deliver early...thats why I stalk my tracking like a hawk and major things I will sit by the door and open my front door if I have too... The minute I see it marked delivered I'm running... Lolllll

That is crazy... Not sure what system they're using to process orders. Carriers got theirs, straight from the manufacturer gotta wait. And you ordered 1st day? Insanity.

It was said that Note 8 would be released on September 15th everywhere in the UK. I pre-ordered Dual-Sim Black Note 8 the same day it was announced. Now that I look at my order it says "Expected to ship from 28 September". WHAT!? I even booked a day off on 15th damnit!
If I check the gold dual sim version it says "Expected to ship from 14 September". Same for single sim versions.
Did they really just sneak-delay the black dual-sim version?

I am also having this issue. I just discovered this on the website this morning. So I sent them an email:

"
My order ****-****-**** is for a black dual SIM Note 8. I just noticed that the website has been updated to say that they're expected on the 28th September now. Does that include previous pre-orders?
"

They did reply and it's looking positive:

"
We can confirm that your order is expected to ship on the 14th of September with delivery taking place the next working day - 15th of September. Once the order leaves the warehouse, you will receive a confirmation email and the tracking will become active.
"

I also plan on booking the day off, so let's hope that this information is correct.

It's possible that the Dual-SIM version was higher demand than they anticipated so pre-orders from now will have to wait for a second batch to come in. I don't understand why the demand isn't huge for them. It's the same price as the regular version and can do exactly the same stuff except it also has the option of a second SIM should you ever need it.

Glad for all you who got your note! I woke up those morning and no change in status as deliveries have been suspended.

The way this is looking it could possibly be weeks before I get my Note. It's looking like it's going to be bad here in FL. Almost wonder if I would be better off buying from Tmobile and then refusing shipment.

I can't believe I missed it by ONE day.

Got it yesterday! So far so good.

- Screen is a thing of beauty. God I missed Samsung screens. Unquestionably the best electronic display on the market.

- Running nova launcher with google now integration. I actually don't mind having Bixby also, it does a good job of changing complicated phone settings ("hi bixby, change screen timeout to 10 minutes") that would otherwise take several clicks.

- Samsung pay does not work yet, which is a bummer. Hopefully it starts working after launch day. I am a big fan of Samsung Pay and it has gotten me out of binds more than once before.

- The back of the phone is magnetic, which is good because it sticks to the QI charger I have in the car without a metal ring needing to be installed on the back. Wireless charging on this is much faster than previous phones I have had, good job Sammy.

- Tried a glass screen protector and no go. Makes screen less responsive.
Then tried a film protector. No go. The damn thing won't even go on right.
Going to go back to liquid nano.

- The slickwraps alcantara skin for the back that I ordered isn't here yet either.

- Going to do some detailed camera comparisons today with my LG G6 and Pixel. I have not been a fan of this camera sensor since the S7 days, so I am expecting to not love it. And I am a firm believer that the most useful dual camera setup is LG's side angle lens instead of a silly zoom lens. And the Pixel blows everything else out of the water anyway.

But overall, a very compelling phone. Sammy has the best overall package compared to anyone else, by far. And after the $425 discount and free gift, it's a great value. I will most likely sell this when the new Pixel comes out and make a few bucks at it too.

Ordered September 1st and my order has just been confirmed.

Which phone did you order? I ordered on 9/1 also, Sprint version in Gray but mine still says "Preorder" and that I can cancel. Hoping my camera comes by the 14th though so I can use it on vacation. The phone can come later I don't mind.

If that won't work, I would suggest either going to t mobile direct if you can or get patient as if your area does get hit, it could be a few weeks before delivery.

Only other place would be my aunt or cousin in Tampa area which will get cat 2 winds as well and probably awhile before delivery. Naples, my cousins won't deal with the delivery and it is supposed to be worse down there as they might get hit head on there too. Unless I want it shipped to St. Louis LOL.

Is it possible the package is lost in limbo or sent back to Samsung.

Really ticked at Samsung for sending them out later than the carrier. Last time I deal with them. I can see this trade in program being a SNAFU once again.

Literally almost 2/3rds of the state might get hurricane force gusts from this.
