Samsung (direct from them): Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

I ordered on 26 Aug, my order status now is only showing Preorder, with no Cancel option anymore. What does that suppose to mean?

For what it's worth, that's progress in the order! :D I think it took another week or so, for it to get to the next stage, for me.

Mine is still in preorder and still has the option to cancel. It was suppose to ship out today. UPS and Fedex tracking are nowhere in sight. :(
 
Yups mine hasn't moved since Saturday, It got picked up Friday. Wondering if they had movedddd at all in the past 2 daysss i probably would have gotten my phone today!! Ugh oh well, one more day of this chaotic situation and I'll have my phoneee cant waittt
 
Called Samsung and inquired why only the charger shipped. She told me that she didn't know and that it could take up to two weeks for the phone to ship. Totally unacceptable. I'm going to call back to see if I get someone with a clue.

Sigh...3 hours for a call back
 
Hope so! The flight leaves in a few hours so I will know if it's on it. If not something odd is going on. It was scanned for departure on 9/8 and so far nothing new. Supposed to be 2nd day air and still gives me tomorrow delivery date but I can't changed the shipping options unless I call samsung which might be a nightmare and screw it up.

If I don't get it in a week I'll just walk into tmobile and purchase it.

Didn't you do the Note 7 deal?
If you bought it from T-Mobile you would have to pay full price
 
Ordered yesterday (Sep 9) and got a projected ship date of 'Week of October 8'. Anybody think they'll actually do better than that?


I ordered mine on the 9th also (Verizon thru Samsung). It is supposed to ship 9/15.
"Will ship by Sep 15th 2017"
 
Good luck with them. The last person I spoke with was clueless.

Honestly, most of the samsung reps are clueless Lol... it seems like their customer service reps are oversea, which they barely understand the questions & I barely get a valid answer from them.
 
Ordered around 2:00 pm today, 9/11. AT&T Black Note 8. Confirmation email from Samsung says phone will arrive by 9/14
 
I placed my order using the note 7 promo. I ordered on the 7th- last Thursday. The email that they sent me as order confirmation said it will ship by 9/15. I just went to the samsung site and it still says preorder. Nothing changed yet. I also looked at my credit card online and the hold/preauth that they put on my card is gone. Is this normal? I'm getting anxious. I've been out of work since August 9 with an injury and won't be going back till end of sept. I'd love to get the phone sooner than later so I have time to play with it while I'm home.

Yes that is true. Hell, I might just wait a month for some deal at Best Buy on the unlocked version instead and trade in the S& edge there even though they'd offer less. Besides, I'm sure this Samsung trade in deal is going to be a PITA too anyway.

It's stupid I can't have delivery changed to a hub and just pick it up there. But I don't want Samsung messing the order up which I'm sure they would somehow do if I had them change the delivery method on it.
 
The chat representatives are located in India and they have no information of what's happening in the US, other than what they see on the computer screen which is similar to us what we see on our order status. (I inquired one of them).
And, when I used to call to the 855-726-8721 number, I used to find some American in the line. But nowadays, most of the people taking these calls are from overseas, third world countries, for whom I have to repeat 10 times my order number to make them understand. (Also, my order number is bit confusing with lots of 0, O and I in it.)
And, then I get their regular reply which is again difficult to understand.
However, the recent update I got is that the phone went out of stock the time I ordered it (26 Aug), but the phone is now in stock, and they will take another 5-6 days to ship it to me.
I don't even know if he is telling the truth or not.. or whether he knows it.
I don't blame these representatives. I blame the executives and managers who recruit these people, and the flawed system they have. Samsung promised its Note 7 users for priority shipping, and they can't even deliver the phone by 14 Sep. Is it too much as a customer we are asking for. It was them who promised it. If you can't keep the promise then don't say it. And the least you could do is to inform your customers with the update about their status. I am so angry right now, I am going out of country for a month in 4 days, and my phone is not on time. Finally, I cancelled my order, and buying another phone. The phone which I currently have, having some serious battery issues nowadays, and I desperately need a new phone at the moment. I wanted a phone with stylus. Shame on you Samsung.
It just refreshed my Note 7 horrific experience and the torture I had to go through.

If you want to do business in America, then recruit American!!! Why to give us a headache to understand other accent for some service which I have paid a premium price for.

I've just stopped bothering myself about it and I'll get it when I get it...I got the S8+ I'm happy with this phone so I'm just waiting I try not to think about...this whole thing has already stressed me enough

Can u go pick it up at the location if it's not far?

Nothing would change because the phone is/was out of stock. So you are on their mercy of when they are willing to deliver your phone.

That is what I want to do but UPS won't let me change it. Hell, I don't even know for sure what the lackage is doing. On 9/8 it had departure scan and been sitting in Louisville since. Knowing my luck it won't be put on the plane again.

It will really suck if it does arrive in the region tonight but because of delivery restrictions I can't pick it up at the hub and because of the hurricane they won't deliver. It could be sitting minutes away from me and nothing I can do about it.
