Samsung (direct from them): Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

Ordered around 2:00 pm today, 9/11. AT&T Black Note 8. Confirmation email from Samsung says phone will arrive by 9/14

How come you got your order confirmation email before me? It's been 4 hours and no email.

I got the same response. TD bank fine, Samsung says problem with the bank and passing it on up the chain. I just put my credit card info in to keep it rolling.

Did you get it sorted? Or you ended up having to use your CC?

Sigh.. my phones are stranded in ATL... status is "Sched. delivery Pending".. I was supposed to get them tomorrow, they left Memphis on sunday. I never occurred to me fedex would go thru ATL to get to NW Florida.. oh well.. hopefully won't take to long..

Were at? I'm in FWB and received one today via FedEx but mine came down from Indianapolis through Memphis.

I have ordered again today, as instructed by Samsung.

Talked to live chat about 15 mins ago, he says my order is "pending confirmation".
and to check back in 72 hours. and should receive email soon

Just got my call back and sadly it was another clueless rep. I'm going to stop worrying about it. It gets here when it gets here. They certainly wouldn't be the ones selling me the phone if it wasn't for the Note 7 deal. And to rub salt in the wound, I just got an email from them advertising the Note 8 is available online.

Checked flight aware and flight still hasnt taken off. I'm thinking it was canceled. Who knows when flights will resume. This is a joke. I could walk in best buy and buy the unlocked version this friday or go to Tmobile and purchase it while I'm still waiting for my Samsung.com order to arrive.

I might just wait for a best buy deal on unlocked then since I know wifi calling will work with Tmobile. I can wait another month.

I sort have lost the drive for the Note 8 with all this shipping BS and the hurricane. Hell some people are getting October shipping dates for unlocked Note 8s from Samsung.com. What a farce lol.

My Note 8 is being delivered by Fedex tomorrow, Tuesday, September 12. My Samsung account now allows me to print out a return label for the Note7 promo trade-in and says I have to ship by September 26 which is 15 days from today. So essentially, Samsung is allowing us 2 weeks to mail in the trade-in. The return address is for Ingram Micro which is a large electronics distributor. I guess Samsung has outsourced the trade-in process, just as it outsourced the fulfillment process for the Note8 to a company called BrightPoint.

Sorry for your luck in this deal but your patience may need a little work. What happened to you is no one's fault. A freaking Hurricane came through for crying out loud. Do you want planes to risk crashing just so you can have your phone?

Isn't really just because of Irma. First, Samsung waited an extra day to release them when Tmobile shipped them a day earlier. Also, UPS had flights here, but the day it was supposed to ship UPS said the phone didn't make it to the plane in time despite sitting there for two days at Louisville, a mess up on UPS part. If UPS didn't mess up, or Samsung released it when Tmobile did, I would have got my phone before the storm.

So, mine shipped from Indianapolis yesterday morning, arrived in Denver, CO later in the afternoon. Now its in Memphis. Dumb thing is, I live in a Denver suburb! WTF?!?! Still have to wait until Tuesday?!?

I ordered a motorcycle tire one that was shipped from Colorado to Kansas City, MO, back to CO, across Kansas again to Topeka, then finally to me in the middle of KS. Had a lot of miles on it before I installed it.

Nothing would change because the phone is/was out of stock. So you are on their mercy of when they are willing to deliver your phone.

I totally get that and it sucks. But my question was is it normal that the hold / auth for the money that samsung put on my credit card would just vanish like it never happened?
