Samsung (direct from them): Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

So according to fedex, although samsung has my address, the shipping label didn't include the Rm.# and so it couldn't be delivered. .

On phone to have it scheduled to picked up instead. ..madness!

So I spoke to a rep and he told me my phone was shipped already and I would get it by the 14th....BUT I never got any email of any tracking nor is my order page updated...Hope he is not lying but it seems strange I dont have an email nor have they charged my card yet it shipped

As far as my experience with the note 7, they do lie. and the usual trend is that your card is going to be charged first, and then the phone ships. Did you try to ask them your tracking # if it is already shipped?

Exactly! and I wasn't concerned that much till yesterday. And I can guarantee you that I won't receive the phone by 15th. It hasn't been shipped yet bro. You guys don't get the point. I will quote you on 15th evening again, and see what you have to say then.
My point is that don't promise something, which you are not going to fulfill. And then doing it to people who bought the Note 7 and went through all the tortures. Tell us, all the preorders going to be delivered after a month, and I wont complain. The least they can do is atleast inform of why it is delayed and the expected date of delivery.

Because if you lie, you can get massive pre-orders. Then the media will just say how they recovered from the Note 7 fiasco with amazing opening day numbers, and Samsung stock goes up. Who cares if people are really pissed off about it. Media will say they are great, and everyone will believe it.

Download the ups n fee ex apps to see if your order is listed to deliver to your house. Your deliveries will pop up and hopefully your phone will be there if it indeed has been shipped. That's what I did. Samsung sent me the shipping notification when my order had already popped up on my fed ex app.

I asked for the tracking he said it has not been generated yet but it was shipped...I dont know what to believe anymore...what is life lol

I used my CC. I'm not sure if they will revert it back to the credit line or the CC. But i didn't want to wait weeks for it to be resolved.

How do you know it would take weeks to resolve? Samsung said so?

The app doesnt need a tracking number. It uses your home address. If a package is coming the app will know. Then you will get the tracking number.

I got my Note 8 on Friday (9/8/17). I was a Note 7 owner. I opted for the 128 gb micro sd card and the wireless charger. I actually got a 256 card (and the billing invoice lists it as such). Just wondering if that was common or i just got lucky.

Just got it just now! But.....

Didn't get my SD card... Only the wireless charger. And the SD card still shows the status of pre-order on the Samsung website.

On the phone with Samsung right now and they are supposed to be Escalating the issue.

Was charged the day I ordered on the 1st, and it went away. Then just charged again today.

I called the customer representative too, and she kept on persisting that my phone is going to be delivered tomorrow. Even after insisting, that my card is not charged, I have no tracking number, and my order status is still Pre-order.
But she kept on repeating, you are going to get your phone tomorrow.
I know that's a lie, and I told her that too. But she was in so much confidence when she was telling that. It's worse when you give people a false hope than no hope. Now I am wondering what if that's true. lol

Nope, my email confirmation said it would ship by the 15th. Sept 6th preorder date, former Note 7. I have no hope it ships by the 15th. Also, I tried to use the finance option. Big mix up and Samsung wasn't recognizing bank payment. My order page just said to update payment, I did that by putting in my credit card. That is when I finally got an email confirmation of my preorder.

This. I'm very upset with how Samsung handled this process and just fired off a strongly worded email on my feelings. They sent me an invitation to order and receive it early as a former Note 7 owner, and yet my order still sits as pre-order status while non Note 7 buyers get their phones delivered.
