Samsung (direct from them): Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

I received my T-mobile pre-order for the Note 8 yesterday. I ordered on August 24th as a previous Note 7 user. To say that I have been excited for this phone would be an understatement. However yesterday when I received the phone I realized that the screen has a harsh yellow tint over it. I immediately realized because I am switching from a Galaxy 8 plus to the Note 8 and after the smart switch I had the same background on both phones.

I suspect you've already tried this, but does the phone have a blue light filter? It sounds like that. It may do nothing, but try toggling whatever the setting is currently, and see if the screen looks any different.
 
Just curious, which case did you order? I'm wanting the thin Samsung protective cover, but can't risk a week without a case on the phone until the Samsung cases are out. Need something really slim to keep the form factor of the phone.

i got 2 defender otterbox one in blue and white and one in black now just waiting on the note 8 to fit these cases lol ordered on 24th changed to confirmed hope it ships today tomorrow but forsure mon.....my pre order email says ships 11th sept and that's what i was told it would ship mon from my order ## wish all the best and good luck ill let everyone know if mine ships and if not also !!
 
So I check my fed ex tracker and guess what pops up all of a sudden. A delivery scheduled for Tuesday. And guess what that shipment is, my phone. The promise land is just over the horizon lol.

. Oh boy if it’s the free gift that’s holding up orders that’s crazy. I have Confirmed on my phone, Preorder on the 360 Cam, and Shipped on my case. Even though my order clearly shows overnight shipping (items will be shipped next day from shipping date) the shiped case is being delivered 2 day.
 
Question: For you who have shipping info. What are the dementions of your package? My case that shows shiped is coming in a box 10X6X8 in. Seems a little big for just a case but a bit small to be the phone. Maybe that’s just the generic FedEx box size? (Just secretly hopping my phone is in there and they just forgot to mark it shipped)

It's not. On my order page my items are marked confirmed and my SD card is marked pre order. I didn't get an email that my order was shipped. But I have the fed ex app and I wasn't expecting any deliveries next week. When I refreshed this morning there was nothing. When I refreshed about an hour ago, there appeared a delivery for Tuesday, so I know it's the phone. For those wondering, l ordered 9/3. Saw my order status change from pre order to confirmed yesterday and it shipped today. So you guys might wanna d/l the fed ex app and register your address and see if anything pops up.

10x5x8 is the dimensions listed on fed ex
 
Update. Delivery scheduled for Tue and departing now! However they keep shifting the forecast and they just issued evacuations for my zone. I think I will be okay surge wise but might get cat 2 winds.

I hope to have cell service to track my order during the hurricane. We might go to a shelter at the last second if the path changes.

Okay, thanks for that info! Hopefully that’s a sign my phone is in my box and just not marked shiped in the system. Like you I didn’t get any shipping email I just got an alert from FedEx I had a package on the way from BrightPoint which is a logistics & shipping company for the wireless industry.

Same company my package is coming from.
 
I chose the finance option, showed me as approved instantly. My account page shows my credit line with the total minus the $500+ as avail credit. On my orders page, it shows that I must update payment. They will only let me choose credit card option, and pay now? So confused on what is going on?
 
Ordered mine unlocked on the 24th at 6am est.
On the 5th I emailed Samsung since it still showed pre-order, they never answered of course but next morning it showed confirmed.
I emailed again 6th at night asking about shipping, they never answered and neither ups or FedEx show any upcoming deliveries.
I used Samsung finance and got a letter for td with my account number etc.

No shipping email or update on my order online, but looked at my FedEx account under all of my shipments and there it is! Picked up today at 2pm in transit for scheduled delivery tuesday.

Ordered samsung direct, note 7 promo, ATT orchid gray, on 9/4
