Samsung (direct from them): Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

Called UPS. Package still scheduled for tomorrow but I'm not sure if they're flying to RSW tomorrow. So far still says on time still on Louisville. Not holding my breath though. I decided to leave my house. Luckily it went further east and didn't get that bad here. the airport in Ft Myers. Got cat 1 winds so I hope it is functioning soon.

Hope so! The flight leaves in a few hours so I will know if it's on it. If not something odd is going on. It was scanned for departure on 9/8 and so far nothing new. Supposed to be 2nd day air and still gives me tomorrow delivery date but I can't changed the shipping options unless I call samsung which might be a nightmare and screw it up.

If I don't get it in a week I'll just walk into tmobile and purchase it.
 
I ordered on 26 Aug, my order status now is only showing Preorder, with no Cancel option anymore. What does that suppose to mean?

heeeeeeeeelllllllll yeah mines coming tomorrow i cant wait i have the sd card and charger and i ordered the note 8 vr from amazon it will also be here tomorrow the 12th im sooooooo excited cant wait have to work all night and have a meeting in the morining but ill be here to snag that sweet baby from fedex and finally get into it yyyyeeeeaaaaahhhhh!!!!! really happy i ordered on aug 24 @ 9:30am!!!!!!
 
So My package (Former Note 7, purchased on 8/26) is still in Memphis, TN and scheduled to be deliver in California tomorrow the 12th. Status hasn't change since Sunday.

I wonder if its going be on the plane today, to arrive here later this evening for deliver tomorrow.

Has anyone had to send their's in for an exchange / replacement yet? Mine came with the corner chipped out of the box and I already had sent in my Note 5 as a trade-in using the Note 7 offer as I had one of the fireball's. I contacted Samsung and they said someone would be in touch in 3-5 days to let me know if they would give me a discount code to re-buy, or to do an exchange. It is day 2 or 3 depending if you count the day I called, and haven't heard anything yet.
 
Mine was supposed to ship September 5th but Bank of America stopped the payment because they thought it was a scam (even though the statement said Samsung) so Samsung didn't ship my phone UGH! Now just waiting till whenever the will ship, what BOA did already annoyed me enough.
 
This is one of the main reasons that I ordered directly from Samsung. I got my note 7 from the att store and it came in a crappy ugly blue box with all the att branding all over it.

that is crazy that they do that, i know this year with my S8+ i was so happy that Verizon did not put their branding on the phone.
 
Ordered on the 6th, on the 7th I contacted Samsung via email and asked for the status on my order (It was on "Preorder" status). On the 8th in the morning, I got a email saying "After viewing your account, I see that your order has been suppressed. This means that there has been an issue with your bank allowing us to place an authorized hold on your funds."

Order was canceled (although I didn't know because my order still said "Preorder", so it's a good thing I contacted Samsung about the status on my order.)

I then contacted TD bank about this issue and they said everything is alright on their side and I should be able to make purchases as there is no limit/hold or anything on my account. So TD bank told me to go ahead and do the order again. I did it while he was on the phone, ordered the S8+ instead, order almost immediately changed to "Confirmed". So I thought everything was good. I went ahead and ordered the Note 8 about 1 hour later, was on "Preorder" status, but because I had "Confirmed" on the previous recent order, I didn't think anything of it.

About 6 hours later a hunch told me to contact Samsung (over the phone) and ask about my orders. And once again, the lady told me my order was cancelled because of "billing address" issues or something like that. That the "info" doesn't match the banks' hence why my orders are being denied (all 3).

I don't know how that's possible because I used Samsung finance and on the order page, I don't need to enter any details, I just choose "pay over time" and chose 'Samsung Finance' and that was it. Order Placed.

I then contacted Samsung again and explained everything, and the guy said he wrote up something and passed it to the "Higher ups" and that I should receive a call in the coming week. He gave me a reference number in case they don't call, so I can call back and give the reference number so they can pull up the notes or whatever.

Anyone every been through this?

I got the same response. TD bank fine, Samsung says problem with the bank and passing it on up the chain. I just put my credit card info in to keep it rolling.
 
Sigh.. my phones are stranded in ATL... status is "Sched. delivery Pending".. I was supposed to get them tomorrow, they left Memphis on sunday. I never occurred to me fedex would go thru ATL to get to NW Florida.. oh well.. hopefully won't take to long..
 
Ordered yesterday (Sep 9) and got a projected ship date of 'Week of October 8'. Anybody think they'll actually do better than that?

Based on what I'm reading in this thread, highly unlikely. I'd feel better about later than that,then I would about sooner.
