This is one of the main reasons that I ordered directly from Samsung. I got my note 7 from the att store and it came in a crappy ugly blue box with all the att branding all over it.

Before the Note 8 all Notes from AT&T came in that box even if you ordered directly from Samsung. This is the first Note from AT&T to have manufacturer's box

Ordered mine through Samsung on the 29th. Still showing Pre-Ordered. If I don't see any change by Wednesday, i may take a look at the new Iphone. I thought by ordering direct, I would have this device by the 15th.
I'm starting to have second thoughts.

I think the new iPhone will have issues with its new OS. Unlike the 7s and 7s plus which still use the home button. Apple has crammed a lot of new features and a untested device plus I don't believe the iPhone 8 will be out until later in the year.

Same here. Mine is suppose to ship by 9/15, but whatever. I'm still perfectly happy with my S7E, so really don't care too much when it gets here.

Did any who received the Note 8 direct from Samsung and/or got tracking direct from Samsung - pay for the extra overnight shipping? Wondering if everyone that ordered with overnight shipping had theirs shipped out, and the rest of us that ordered via the free shipping are still waiting for tracking

I ordered and paid for the overnight shipping. My order was shipped 2day and not overnight. I called and fought with a rep just to get it refunded. I'll think twice before u order direct again.

But how did you know that your phone was supposed on the next flight? I am not going to pretend I know how UPS queues their packages but how do you know what instructions Samsung gave to UPS? How many pallets of phones were there and how many of those were ahead of yours? There are a bunch of reasons why things happened the way they did. Unless you know someone that ordered the same phone (carrier/unlocked, etc) at the same time you did and they got their phone and you didn't, it would be hard to make an accurate comparison.

The only thing legitimate complaint we could have is if the phones are not on time. It does suck that alot of people have gotten their phones already but that is added bonus for them...

Well technically the phones are on time yet and a lot got delivered early. Let's not forget the release date was September 14. Samsung released pre-orders earlier and that's a bonus, but phones are not late yet according to the release date.

You are WRONG!!! the phones are late. I ordered 26 Aug, and the phone is still in Preorder. So do you think, it will be delivered by 14 Sep? You are sounding like one of those representatives. lol

No....he is technically correct. The phone isn't late until the 15th, and at that point it is supply and demand.

If your phone is shipped/origin scan today, getting it on the 14th shouldn't be a problem.

I think my problem is Samsung giving false hope with the Note 7 customers. They said over and over again we would be the first to use the phones before anyone else which is clearly not the case. Then you have some reps saying people will get their phones on the 16th, which is a day after release and not before everyone else. Sure a lot of people got theirs already but ALL Note 7 customer's phones should have been shipped around the same week in my opinion.

At this point I don't even believe I will get my phone before the 15th. It still shows as pre order. Totally blows. And I ordered August 26th.
