Samsung (direct from them): Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

I said that if mine didn't ship Wednesday I was going to cancel. When I tried to cancel I was told that I couldn't. All I could do was refuse delivery. But I got notification last night that my phone has shipped and will be here Monday. Now I'm so damn excited that I think I'll swallow my pride and keep it. Lol. CAN NOT WAIT!!! My order went from preorder to confirmed on Tuesday. Then from confirmed to shipped on Friday. In case anyone is wondering how long the process takes.
 
Ordered mine on August 29th. No email, no communications, customer service that doesn't care. I just cancelled my order. I'm waiting till Black Friday when I can buy one for less.

I think 8/29 was a bad day for orders, I placed an order that day but the payment was blocked because the banks fraud protection kicked in. I never received any kind of email or notification that something was wrong. I finally emailed support on 9/10 and was told the order failed fraud review and that i should call customer support. Well because of Irma wasn't able to get a new order setup until 9/12. On brighter note just got shipping confirmation, phone and charger in one box and sview flip case in another box ^_^.

Same issue when I placed order on August 24th. Samsung took it out again-credit card company picked it up as fraud. Must be an error or glitch with Samsung! I think it is their fault. They hold your payment as pending until it ships, Then it goes as a charge when shipped. Who knows and we never will know.
 
Has anyone returned their devices without issues? I have returned both on mine and due for delivery tomorrow. I took pictures of the devices along with the IMEI numbers just in case. I even got the special box FedEx to ship them back in. Probably overkill but I wanted to make sure I don't have issues.
 
9/2 still pre-order no updates. I'm thinking about just waiting until there's a sale in October or November. Either way the way that this is being handled it's completely unacceptable especially for a loyal fan base.
 
So interesting development, they ended up crediting me too much and I was only charged $425 total for the Note 8. Obviously the person doing the credit messed up the amounts, but I'm not complaining.

Excellent! That's a good sign (maybe) for the rest of us. Was this after you sent a trade in?
 
I now have a pending charge back on my card from Samsung. Hopefully will get the shipping confirmation soon!!
