Samsung dongle video plays fine on tv but no sound

I got this dongle from amazon (Samsung WI-FI All-Share Cast Hub, Wireless HDMI Display Adapter (Black) about 2 months ago. Worked great no problems at all. Then the kit kat update came out. After update it would not connect. I looked for a solution and did a factory reset (after backing up data) it worked, but screen rotation would not work. I finally fixed that by letting all the bloat ware update on my phone but not before doing 3 more factory resets. GPS still screwed up though. Now i try to connect and it works and the firmware on the dongle has updated and on my GS3 has updated the allshare too, but there is no sound when I try to connect it. Now if I restart my phone it normally works however I did this yesterday and it did not work. Is there anything that I could download, do, tweek to make this work? I do have a samsung smart tv but no internet connection where I live.
