Samsung Galaxy - maps has stopped

Got a msg today on my Galaxy Ring, using Version 4.1.2 and suddenly my map isn't working. Msg is "Unfortunately, Maps has stopped." It won't map anything.

Does it persist after a reboot? If so, go to the App Manager, select Maps, and Clear Cache/Clear Data, then Force Stop. Now try again.

rebooting usually fixes this. lets know if it still persists
