Samsung Galaxy Note 30-Pin extension cable? Dock Connector to Micro USB?

Im sure like most of you all notice that the cable that came with the tablet is a little too short and im wondering if anyone knows where i can get a longer cable for it? Through my google search, i ran across this and wondered if this would work? Its an adapter that you plug a micro usb into. With that being done, would the other end of the micro usb cable need to be plugged in the big samsung outlet block that came with the tablet or would any regular usb outlet charger would do?

I got one of these:

But, I also got one of these, so I can use a regular microUSB cable:

I have not actually tried either one yet, though.

Look on Ebay. There are dozens of cables with the 30 pin plug and you can find adapters about an inch square that are 30 pin to micro usb. Easy to carry around just in case!
