Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Fingerprint Scanner not working

Hello,

I have been trying to get the fingerprint scanner on my Note 4 working. I've tried all suggestions and still nothing is working. I get the following error:



I have restarted my phone. I have shut it off and left it off for a while. I have removed the battery. I have done everything I can think of except a factory reset (which I really don't want to do).

Any suggestions?

I wonder if this is similar to the note 3 camera error, when I got my note 3 I had to exchange it for a similar message while launching the camera. Not a bad idea to consider exchanging to potentially avoid any issues down the line

I would consider a factory reset abs see if the error still occurs.

I would try a factory reset. If that does not work, definitely return/exchange the device.

Have you disabled any bloatware/system apps you -think- you don't need?
