If it was an android device vs an iOS device, would specs be important? Nope.

So display PPI and resolution are dependent on the OS now? When did that happen?

Oh lord, what are you going to ask next: "so battery, screen size, material, design are dependent on the OS now? When did that happen?"
So are those considered specs or not?

If so, why are they important in the Retina Display ads, but not anywhere else?

Because they can.... Lol

I'll take my M8 and the note 4 over the iPhone display. I'll even take the LG 3 as well... I've had my M8 side by side with them and I was underwhelmed by them.... Of course those were store models and that could have a direct bearing on their performance and looks..

Why don't you like the iPhone display?

Oh I can. Definitely.

I will grant that 326ppi is still very good. But I can still see pixels. For that reason I perfer 400+. Pixelless is the idea, and you really need to be above 400ppi to even approach that.

The 6 plus has a resolution over 400 dpi.

I don't either because a few of my friends have both the 6 and the plus and they look a lot better. Seems funny how some stores are not really good at setting up their display models.

I can say that my m8 still is better looking even than the other iphones my friends have. I just wished I had their cameras on my HTC.

I tend to believe that the iPhones are really good all rounders. Just my opinion.

For a lot of people they are, but for just as many who have tried them they aren't.

It's kinda a no win situation for them... Make it more Android like and they upset people in both camps....

So long as this thread has been going, what has been the overwhelming response on the Galaxy Note 4 vs 6+? I still think for functionality, the Note 4, but people have different preferences for OS.

Of course for functionality the Note 4 wins... But not everyone wants the stupidly large list of featured the Note 4 has.

The overwhelming response? Well this is android central so you know what the answer is going to be.

Both are great devices, it truly depends on the user and what is important to them in their next phone.

There's no clear cut answer.
