Absolutely agree. I like the 5.7" display size and prefer it over ANY infinity display. But that's just me.

If more people agreed with us, I probably would have ordered one.??????

Did you see the great pic that jamezr posted yesterday showing all the Notes? Wow... talk about a trip in the "Wayback Machine"! I couldn't believe how much taller the 8 was than the 7... worried me a bit at first but it's only like 3/8"!

Yeah, that's a great pic. It make the 8 stand out. After playing with it in person, I'm good with the decision of ordering it

Thank you... you saying that makes me feel better too. I'm waiting until the store gets them and doing "Over the Counter" purchase though at AT&T. 9/15 I guess?

The S9+ will probably be $900 as well when it comes out. Then, the Note8 might be $750-800.
The S9 will most likely have the same camera as the Note8, plus the Snapdragon 845. Will that phone be worth more $250 more that the S8+? Everyone always gets hosed when a phone is first released. It's no secret.
The only difference here is the last Note model is 2 years old and people are jonesing for a new Note.

The Note 7 had multicolor led notifications. I suspect the small bezels cost us the led. I saw one post implying there is a way to use the edges for color notifications in Note 8 but I don't know if it really exists nor if it allows different colors for each app notification.

Oh ok thanks. Well that sucks. But as long as I have AOD I guess. Yeah I did like that edge lighting on my s6 edge plus

I'm not bothered by the loss. always turned them off. screen flashes or something else happens for nots so I'm good.

OK, but what have you been using instead of an S-pen? You do know that you can get the Note FE, which is really a fixed up Note 7, for about $300.00 less that the Note 8. IMHO, it's a viable option.

But it has outdated specs, doesn't have an infinity display, no dual camera, doesn't work with DeX. None of the new S-pen features, does not have the force touch home button.

It's not on general sale where I live but I'd rather have the note 8.

I searched and some site on the net said it is gone. I haven't a clue. I asked the guy who had one and got no answer
