Samsung: Galaxy Note 9 Pre-Order Thread

Finally found a rep that can cancel my damn order. Woke up to an email saying it's delayed over 30 days, after being told last night that it would ship within 3-5 business days. Even if it would ship that quickly, I'd still cancel it. Samsung botched this launch big time if you pre-ordered through them.

Lol I was too excited when I saw an email from Samsung this morning as well but it was the same 30 day delay email with a link to cancel, I clicked on it and it brought me to the order tracking page on Samsung's website which still won't let me cancel.
 
It’s so frustrating. I’ve talked to Samsung customer support 3 days ago and they told my order is shipping this week. Just checked my order and the date changed again to September 30th ??????????????????

That is what I was told this week too. I checked with Samsung customer support twice this week and both times was told it would ship this week, I wasn't holding my breath. Contracted them today and was told that it will now ship the week of 9/30 (but it could ship before). I think I am going to cancel it and wait to see what the Oneplus 6T and what the Pixel 3xl looks like and what they will offer for my Pixel 2XL.
 
I called an agent today and he told me that the orders were prioritized by order date and payment method. Which kind of makes sense, I don't think these agents have the right information to be responsible for giving us info on our orders tbh. Samsung needs to do something about this. There's a disconnect in the line of communication.
 
I just got off the phone with Samsung Sales CS for my weekly vent session and it was not encouraging at all. Poor guy was squirming in his seat trying to invent a dozen new ways to apologize but no good news.

In short, he told me they receive very limited information and from what he has, the new anticipated fulfillment date is October 7. There is no explanation as to the priority of fulfillment or why later orders are fulfilled sooner than earlier ones. My trouble ticket is in process and it will eventually be addressed but can't tell me when. He cannot offer me any more perks and can completely understand if I opt to cancel. He said "the company and myself are very embarrassed about how this has been handled and there is no excuse. I hope you can continue being patient."

He said the only thing he can do is document our conversation well so higher-ups can read what customers think and how they feel. I told him I doubt it matters but please document that I'll be sharing this experience on online forums forthwith.

I'm extremely tempted to cancel but I don't want to lose the perks I've already been promised and want to take advantage of Samsung financing. I wouldn't be surprised if this is the reason why my order keeps getting pushed back.

At least I learned not to pre-order when I need the phone relatively soon. FTML....
 
My 512GB from Best Buy is here :) Not touching it until my screen protector comes tomorrow, I still have until 9/22 to send my 128GB version back so no worries.

You getting your order shipped is exactly why I doubted that prioritization bs that agent told me, there might be some truth to it because I ordered later in the evening on the 14th but how much longer for a couple of hours between order times?

Yeah I ordered in the morning. Should be by order time. I also used samsung financing, that should have no bearing though.
 
So even an ATT 128gb the wait is a long time? Why not just go into Best Buy or ATT and walk out with one and just trade the phone in at Best Buy or just sell it? That is a face you ordered 128gb during pre order and still didn't get it yet.

My trade in and pre order went fine, BUT now that Amazon sells the unlocked version with better promotions, and B&H sells it too or I can just trade in my next phone at Best Buy I see no reason to go with Samsung.com next time. Sure, I might get the phone a couple days later but if it's better promo items and not having to roll the dice if something is wrong with the phone it's worth it then.
 
This is some BS!!! Preordered from Best Buy 8/11 with no word!!!! What the actually A?!??!!

I don't understand it either. Their site still says none in stock but more soon, I was totally caught off guard by it and thought maybe they sent me the wrong phone but sure enough it's the 512GB version. Unlocked though, is yours through a carrier?
 
I finally gave up and ordered my phone through Amazon today. I ordered on 8/16 confirmation said will ship week of 9/2. That came and went got an email that said we've hit a speed bump and expected ship date 9/15. There's been no movement so I think they're full of ****... I spoke to CS countless times and have no more information than when I started. I emailed the president's office and got an email saying sorry for the delay here's $50 for your troubles. I emailed back telling them they can keep the $50 and just mail the phone.. Still waiting for a reply.. Amazon is offering 24 month interest free financing along with the free charger and Dex thing. I'm getting my phone on Tuesday and I'm done with Samsuck...

I won't go to BB or ATT because they won't give me $300 for my GS7 edge. Also, I started going to Samsung starting 2 years ago because pre-ordering from BB was a **** show with the Note 7 and my experience with buying phones from ATT has been **** unless I ordered it online - but they did not offer such a trade in offer. I'm glad people are having a good experience with BB because they were the worse I've ever experienced when it came to Pre-Orders in the past. Samsung is getting to that point.

This is clearly not true - especially seeing someone post those screen shots that someone posted earlier of two identical phones being ordered from Samsung and the one ordered 2 weeks later got fulfilled whereas the earlier order is still on backorder.

Mines through att. Who is your carrier? If att can you see if unlocked version works with all the att extras -- wifi calling, visual voicemail, rcs messaging.... Thanks!
