Samsung galaxy note2: resize weather widget

Hi all,
I've been trying to resize the stock accuweather widget that comes on the note2. In the Add/eidget section, accuweather only comes in 4x2 size.
On my galaxy s2, I was able to hold the top right corner and when I let go it showed the grid lines for resizing, but it simply wont appear in the note2.
It is running the stock jelly bean touchwiz that samsung ship out with.
Any thoughts?

I just got the Note2 on Verizon and I'm trying to do the same thing. Have you had any luck finding a way?

In additon to the resize issue, my widget does not update to show current date or temp. What good is it?
