Samsung Galaxy S3 keyboard keeps messing up..

This only happens when I'm in the messaging and trying to text people. But after I hit a couple letters, the keyboard will freeze, then close by itself, and won't reopen for about 10 seconds, it happens every single time. I haven't downloaded anything new, and I have not updated my phone. So I'm at a loss... any help will be much appreciated!

Try Settings, Apps, All, scroll to your keyboard app, select clear cache. Power Off phone and Restart.

If it keeps giving trouble, you may care to consider downloading a third-party keyboard, of which there are many.

I did what you suggested, and I also deleted all of my messages, and so far it's working just fine, thank you!!
