Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Battery Saving Tips

Just coming back to Android from another OS and never using Marshmallow before I thought a thread to help us save and control Battery Drain should be must..
Not sure if it's still necessary but as in my earlier Android OSs I automatically make sure Bluetooth and Location is off when I'm not using either.
ANY other tips or suggestion would be greatly appreciated!!

OK, here's one I need help with already!!
I turned off AT&T Text message backup last night and I checked and that setting is still set to off(greyed out) BUT a notice just popped up showing my Messages Backup & Sync is running?? What else is being allowed to run and Backup & Sync my messages and how do I stop this??? Thanks in advance!!
