Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1/Allshare Cast/ Projector Issues

I have a Galaxy Tab 10.1 that we use with a Samsung Allshare Cast Dongle to transmit data to various projectors. The system work flawlessly when I connect from the dongle to a HDMI projector via a HDMI cable. But when I try to hook to a VGA projector with a "Cable Matters" VGA to HDMI converter, the dongle software is projected, but when you try to connect, it starts to connect, never projects the image from the tablet and ends the connection after about 10 seconds. One time I got the error "unable to start Allshare Cast. HDCP is not supported by connected device".

Is there a way to correct this issue?

I at one time was able to connect with this set up. I am not sure if the OS updates are causing the issue???

I have tried the patch from Samsung on Google play, but it changed nothing.

Any help would be appreciated!

If you have the all share app, perhaps clearing the cache for that in settings a application manager-swipe over to all apps and scroll down to all share. Click on it, then clear cache.
