So according to this article even Google warned Samsung that their S line to closely resembled the iPhone. Samsung apparently also regretted making the device so similar. What do you guys think about Samsung blatantly copying Apple and knowing they did it (allegedly).

I did.

But what essential standards patents of Samsung's is Apple violating?

Also, when word broke that Samsung's own lawyers couldn't tell the difference between the iPad and one of the Galaxy Tabs (combined with Nilay Patel's comparisons), it pretty much confirmed my belief that Samsung did try to copy Apple's products as much as possible.

I'm not saying that Samsung's latest products rip-off Apple, but it's clear to me that their early Android efforts did.
