Samsung keyboard and G board swiping

I've been very frustrated between G Board and the Samsung keyboard on this phone.

The Samsung keyboard seems to be easier to use while filling out forms and nicely integrates with the phone's hardware. However, the swiping has been horrible. In what should be some of the simplest of words it will break up into a bunch of nonsense. I wind up having to revert to key presses to get the word I'm after.

G Board seems to have gotten very "ghetto" in its word choices lately. I'll swipe out a sentence and I'm left scratching my head at what comes out. I suppose it's based on some metrics google is pulling from the population at large.

Anyone else having similar issues? I don't recall this being an issue so much on my V20.

have you tried deleting your learned words in the Gmail settings?

also, if you use secure folder it will not let you sign into your Google account in Gboard so you might not even be signed in.

I found that sometimes word predictions can be erratic, Gboard went a bit racist last year on me, I'm being literal.

I am having the exact same problem, the Samsung keyboard is getting to the stage where its almost becoming unusable both through swiping and normal input.

Gboard I have also found poor on my N8 but on my Pixel XL its great.

I am almost at the stage where I am considering going back to my Pixel XL just for this very reason.

Maybe the Oreo update will improve things but when it will be released is anyone's guess!

All signed in and everything. I'm wondering if some differences in the touch screen might be triggering the issues? I didn't have the problem on the V20 so much. I think the digitizer on the Note8 may be a little less sensitive.

It has been a while since I've used anything other than gboard. I've used swype and swiftkey in the past. But I like some aspects of the Samsung keyboard.
