Samsung Popup Browser

Does the popup browser only work on TW-based ROMs? Will it work if I sideload it onto an AOSP Rom like LiquidSmooth or CM?

I would think that the Samsung browser would only work on TouchWiz, but there are similar solutions for AOSP. I saw a post (I can look for it again if you're interested) where some guy had half-a-dozen popup apps running at the same time.
