The free Gear S2 was only offered by Verizon. The others had VR.

I was thinking it was the VR viewer.

It will connect via Bluetooth with the option of a monthly charge to use it as a standalone device. Not required

I do not like the option of a monthly charge.
A Tech person at Best Buy had a Hauwei watch that she bought. She was saying she got it cause the screen on the wearable was much brighter than the other wearable watches.
Not sure if anybody else has realized this or not.
