I have a Samsung S7 that was purchased 2nd hand, legit, receipt given...wants the Google password and I obviously don't know what the previous owners password was. I repair phones and have not run across this issue. I guess it's the FRP lock....? Can anyone help me help my customer?

Unfortunately you can't bypass that (yes, that's FRP). Only the right credentials will allow you to reset the phone, so the seller needs to provide that, which can prove tricky if they don't know what FRP is and why you're asking for their Google account password.
