Now that this was mentioned in another thread I realized that there are still some of you guys that don't even know that this exist and how good it is. So just in case you are one of them, or simply forgot about it, take a look at this link and begin using this great feature that our phones have.

SAMSUNG SideSync

It's really cool to be able to see the screen on a tablet or computer, but especially nice to be able to use the mouse and keyboard from your PC.

I think they already fixed it because it's not happening on mine anymore, but before SideSync had a nasty bug. If you turned WiFi and Bluetooth on at the same time, WiFi speeds decreased substantially. Turn BT off, WiFi speeds came back up. BT turned on, and WiFi crawled again. Only by killing SideSync would the two get back to normal and THEN you could re-open SideSync. It was weird.

Why am I not able to see the video when using sidesync on my Samsung with Netflix. I can hear the audio but not the video only.

This is an AWESOME app/feature ... thank you VERY MUCH for sharing this. I had no clue this existed.

Is that different than the standard screen mirroring?

I'm totally unwashed when it comes to screen mirroring ... so this may be a stupid comment/question ... but I just used the sidesync thing, and when my phone screen is mirrored/shown on my PC, I can gain total control of the phone using my pc's mouse & kbd. Does normal screen mirroring allow this type of control?

I'm no expert on the screen mirroring on the S6, I just use my chromecast when I need to cast to my TV, but as far as I know screen mirroring will just "cast" what I have on my phone screen, very similar concept to what side sync does but not the same as in my case it just ask me to cast to the TVs that allows that or if you have some streaming devices like the Roku. I also find a lot more hiccups and network lag when casting.

No, as far as I know, that's the beauty of something like Sidesync, you basically have your phone on your PC or tablet, you can use it to transfer files easily, use the mouse and keyboard and the rest of features, I just love when I leave my phone charging and turn side sync on and then I use my tablet just as my phone, just perfect for those moments.
