I just got off the phone with Samsung Premium Care+ and was told unless you got the Premium Care+ at the time of purchase, Samsung has made a decision as of the end of last week, that NO Note20 will be allowed to be added. The representative said it was a "corporate" decison and ONLY affected the Note20s. This leaves a very sour taste in my mouth and makes me suspect why only the Note20s? Nonetheless, I'll just get it through TMobile/Sprint. I have an unlocked Note20 and hopefully won't have an issues getting protection for it. I will be filing a claim for cracked screen on my Note10, which is already under Premium Care+, and I'm not trading it. SMH...

I thought this was always the case. I didn't think you could add it after the fact.

Sprint will allow you to get their insurance on a Unlocked Note 20?

I thought it had to be a Sprint model to get their insurance.

Idk. The Samsung Reps told me I could add it, even kept telling me I could add it through the Members App, which doesn't exists. The rep told me to call Premium Care and that he "was pretty sure it could be added" after he supposedly talked to his superiors. SMH... I'll look into adding it to my Asurion Policy, if not it will be somewhat covered through Renter's Insurance, I think.

Their site said it could be done. The Premium Care+ rep said it was a decision NOT to, made at the corporate level at the end of last week, so apparently you could have before then, I assume.

The past 2 or 3 phones I ordered direct from Samsung, they made people cancel and reorder to add it. But that is just what someone said to me.

I think I'll go through Squaretrade.

I doubt Sprint will allow their insurance to be added on an unlocked device. If it was a Sprint model, I believe they could add with no issues though.

That's what I did, they don't cover loss or stolen though. $8.99/month with $149 deductible isn't too bad for a $1400 device.

I was able to get Premium Care plus after I received my Note 10 plus at that time. So I know they use to allow it. I'm using AT&T insurance this time for $8.99

This is not new. That rep is clueless like they usually are. I was forced to cancel my Note 10+ preorder last year just to add it. They made it clear you can only add it at the time of purchase.

Apple lets you add AppleCare+ within 60 days of purchase. I guess this is one way Samsung isn't copying Apple.

This is directly from the Q&A still available from their website:

Q2. How do I enroll in Samsung Care+?

A2. All eligible mobile devices can be enrolled in Samsung Care+ on Samsung.com at time of device purchase.

Eligible devices, that are within 60 days of phone activation, can also enroll in Samsung Care+ via the Samsung Members app. Simply launch the app and search for "Samsung Care+." Click on the content card that appears, and then click "Check Eligibility." If your device is eligible, you will then be prompted to follow the steps for enrollment.

Must be old information that hasn't been updated

Yup.. It was like this back with my Note 9. I assumed it was like this always.

I was going to go with Samsung care and I did but in ended up cancelling and going with Upsie. Them paired with a benefit from credit card covered everything for less. Wells Fargo. If you do decide you can use my referral code and save 10 percent

upsie.com/invite?code=F8cVRF3

I've had Samsung care for years. Specifically asked the rep about adding it and she said no need, just cancel your note 10 and we can add it to your note 20. I have texts from them saying this. I cancelled it and now can't add it to my 20. WTF? Looks like I'm done with that. What's the best replacement?
