Saving photos

[AC Question]

How do you save photos to my phone when they're included in the text? I used the "save to sdcard" option but can't find them on the card. Is the photos saved or the text?

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone, and which messaging app? Usually, if you tap the photo to make it fullscreen, there will be a Save or Download option. Or you might have to long-press the image.
