Scary Verizon LTE data exclamation point! Solved?

Hey all,

This morning, my LTE icon randomly had an exclamation point by it and I had absolutely no data. I was freaking out. I was able to look up on another device about someone on another carrier who went to their Nexus APN settings and reset it. That works for me. Then my phone acted up a moment later ( no! This time, just no data) - then I did it once more and it seems to be working fine ever since. This is a common issue?
 
I have this problem with my 6P at least twice a day. Usually when I leave whatever wifi I was connected to. It's like it can't reconnect to mobile data automatically. I just toggle airplane mode on and off once and it usually seems to correct the issue. Slight annoyance but I am hoping that with the stable public release of Nougat that it gets corrected as I am currently running beta 5.
 
I use a Moto Droid Turbo on VZ and have the exact same issue when going from wifi to data...not every time but randomly.

While I don't have it occurring that frequently, my 6p on Verizon does suffer from this.
 
Some Verizon related issue? Haven't seen anything like that on Google Fi.
