For those of you that have already received your phone, how do your whites look? My 6P has VERY yellow whites in comparison to my Note 5, so much so that I am thinking of returning it, the color is just awful. Any feedback is appreciated.

I don't have a 6P but had a few S6s. I've had to go through two to get a good screen. Had a pink hue or two different tones. This is one reason I was worried about getting a 6p as they are Samsung screens? . Might go a 5x.

My 6P looks pretty white to me, though I only have a Nexus 6 for comparison. My original Nexus 6 looks quite pink-ish and is considerably darker than the 6P. The 6P looks white, clean and sharp.

My 6P has a slightly uneven backlight from left to right - pink tinge on the left. Colour is definitely more creamy than say an LG G4. But overall the phone is excellent and I've had a number of Samsung devices over the years with the same slight unevenness. But no device is ever perfect. Except my iPhone 6s Plus which for once doesn't have the screen quality issues that plague iPhone at launch. If you want to see an uneven screen visit any Apple store and check out the iPhone 6.

Mine is very white and uniform. I would imagine they must do some calibration of these screens at the factory, since OLED panels are not very consistent.

Same here. Mine is uniform and white. Comparing it next to my iPhone 5S (work) they look to be the same "whiteness".

I am glad to see someone else mention it...at least I am not the only one. My screen has more yellow (dirtier) whites in the middle of the screen and is brighter more pure white at the bottom and the top.

It is like a gradient. The screen is nowhere near as uniform or true as my Moto X Pure Edition. I was expecting a lot more out of the 6P screen to be honest.

My new 5X has nicer, purer whites than my 6P and the 5X has always been known to have more creamy whites.

I am definitely thinking if requesting an exchange of this 6P.

I have seen on some other forums alot of people bashing the screen and colors, it was the first really bad string of comments ive seen every review says the screen is great

Thanks for the responses. I set up a replacement with Google. My Nexus 6 was very yellow and this 6P is at least as yellow, if not more so. I have read where the whites are really true and crisp on this phone, so hopefully I receive a better one on the replacement.

What was the process for setting up the exchange? Can you keep using the current phone until the new one arrives? Do you have to call in our can it be done via chat or email? What is the time frame for the new unit to arrive?

Curious about this too in case I have a problem.

Does it go away if you turn up screen brightness? I thought amoleds did that at lower brightness.

Mine has a pinkish hue. Pretty much every amoled device I've had has had it to a certain extent or another. The top half of my screen has this pinkish hue. I chatted in today and ordered a replacement. It ships Nov 3rd.

To those who asked about the process, they send you a link to order a new device, they put a hold on your card for the full amount and then they release the hold when they get the first decive back

That seems like a stupid way to do it what if I don't have the funds available for them to hold does that mean I can't rma the device?

Then you're out of luck. That's their process. If you are still in your 15 day window then they will just tell you to return the device and then rebuy it after they refund you if you don't have enough on your card to cover a 2nd hold (I know because I once went through this with them). So if you are within your 15 day window you can either 1. Replace the device in which they place the hold on your card and they release the hold when they get the device back or 2. Return the device.. Wait for the refund and then rebuy. After that 15 day period I'm not sure how they would handle that since you technically can't return the device after 15 days..

I love their process because you're not out of your phone until the replacement arrives. Not a huge deal for someone like me that has multiple phones but it's a huge deal if it's your only phone.

My frost 6p's screen is definitely more yellow than my Galaxy S6 Edge+. BUT, as someone who likes slightly warmer tones I prefer the 6p's screen and am very happy with it. (There's a slight crosshatching/pattern on the 6p screen that is an artifact of the photo, you don't see that in person, and there's a bit of fingerprint smudging on the S6)

That second comparison showing the 2 screens with colorful backdrops and shows why I love my 6p's screen. Both phones are at about 50% brightness, and I'm sitting in a relatively dim room.

Overall it's my favorite cellphone screen to date. (Those who like bluish whites will probably be less happy.)

Compared to my N5 my 6p is super yellow. I've been using it all day though and as long as I don't look at them both at the same time you get used to it.

My colors are very good. I'm lucky because I know how much of a crapshoot they can be on these devices. I know one thing, if my screen was **** yellow like some of yours it would go back until I was satisfied.

Having had mine now for a couple of days, and comparing it to my iPhone 6s Plus the screen is very yellow and unfortunately quite uneven. With pink tinge in the left and creamy on the right. Hmmm. Not very good.

I've got an LG g4, nexus 6p, s6, and a moto x pure edition in my house. When I compare all of them with the same pure white background they all have a slightly different shade of white. The LG g4 is a little blueish, the Nexus 6p is a little pinkish, the s6 a little creamy pinkish, and the Moto X pure edition is a little creamy white.

I like them all. They are just different. I might like the g4 and moto x the most, but I'm not sure...

Non issue for me. All look acceptable.
