Screen resolution, pixel count and Pentile...

Has the quality of the screen improved yet? My concern is with the lack of clear text. The text in past Oneplus devices have been fuzzy with the lack of pixel count and the pentile arrangement.

Any opinions out there?

pixel density is about the same of previous oneplus models, most people will say it's fine and they don't see any difference but if you notice the difference in previous model you'll notice it in this one. The screen is just okay for me but if I compare it to a QHD of the S9+, the S9+ screen is clearly superior and text looks more sharp

I don't think you should worry about pentile anymore.

I had a Nexus 5 before the OP 6 so that and prior phones is all I can compare it to.
Now with the OP 6 I read books (with my reader glasses) on my phone which I never did on the Nexus as it just wasn't a good experience.
So, what I'm trying to say, the long way around, is that I think the OP 6 has a great screen. Is it the best out there? Probably not, but great to my "old" eyes.

For laymen please explain pentile.

Basically because of the arrangement of the pixels it creates a fuzzy edge to text in particular. The pixel density must be much higher than say your conventional LCD display to offset this. IMO, pixel density needs to be in the 500's with a pentile display and the Oneplus 6 is no where near this.
