Screen sensitivity issues anyone?

Never needed to try the number so I don't know. Have you checked back to where the number method was first posted? Might have some info. Also, try case-less yet?

After testing this weekend, I've come to these conclusions...

* Case or no Case, the issue is there. (No Screen protector)
* The issue is still there in safe mode.
* When i'm holding the phone, it's near perfect, unless the battery is low on the phone. Then the touch screen starts to be less responsive.
* When laying flat, it's horrible, trying to get the menu to swipe down is nearly impossible, unless the phone is charging, while charging with the quick charger, it works perfectly.

Also, The dialer trick does not work on Verizon, at least not for me.

I was having the same issue when texting. I turned off the keyboard swipe in keyboard settings and that has helped. I still find it to be a little slow though.

Just an update for me... I swapped the phone out and it's perfect now. A lot of little weird typing issues and annoyances are gone now. I'm very pleased.

Is this still a known issue? Does it get worse as time goes on? I got my phone the last week of October and it seems the day I'm out of the 14 day period, it starts this weird issue. I figured it was because I had lotion on my hands and let it go. It's still doing it today and I'm annoyed.

Apparently still an issue if your having trouble. Have you tried any of the suggestions in this thread?

I tried this and got a message saying this number is no longer in service. Are you supposed to actually call after dialing? I'm on US Cellular, I don't know if that matters or not. Where do I choose or command "TSP firmware update"? Sorry, I'm not very technically inclined...but I've been having this sensitivity issue (flat surface, holding in hand, pulling down the top menu, all of it) for a few weeks now and I finally thought to look online for answers.

Also, how do I choose or command "TSP firmware update" - does that option show up after dialing? Sorry, I'm not very technically savvy, but this sensitivity issue started a few weeks ago (flat surface, holding in hand, pulling down the drop-down menu from the top, etc) and it's really irritating.

This is extremely infuriating. 500 dollars for a phone whose most basic necessary function doesn't work. I'm about to go back to my Windows phone, that's how bad it is for me. Top menu never wants to scroll down, cant text or open apps to save my life. The phone is two weeks old but for all anyone would know I dug it out of the ground after 300 years.

So your coming from windows? Have you had an Android device before? Asking because your issues sound valid and considering I had them also I can see how infuriating it would be not to mention frustrating if your new to the OS. There are a few things to try in this thread if you haven't tried them yet. modding my case on the side helped me get a perfect fix. weird , I know but it seems it was contacting something on that side that didn't play well. Working great now. Some other things can be tried if you want. Also , don't know what launcher your using but maybe try different ones as they have various options for adjustments. A factory reset could help if you haven't tried that yet. if you just got the phone then maybe a replacement is your best option. My S6 is one of the best, smoothest running phones I've ever had and it's hard to see others not get the full experience out of theirs. If you do the factory reset , don't auto reinstall anything until you see if it helped. Good luck!

For touch screen problem try this:
-in dialer type *#2663#
-TSP firmware update (general)
You should see "PASS"

This method solved my unresponsive touchscreen issue.

This appears to have done the trick for me. Have even put the toughened screen protector on and it is still working fine.

I'm using Verizon S6 (no edge) and typing
*#2663#
doesn't do anything; have tried *#*#2663# *#*#2663*# *#*#2663#* but all don't do anything. Should I launch a special app?

No just typing it into the phone keyboard like ringing a number should bring up the menu.

I think Verizon has this function blocked on our phones.

Maybe I am just imagining it but my screen sensitivity issues seems to have disappeared after the wifi calling update that is rolling out today. Seems to be smooth as silk right now. Haven't seen that for a long long time!. :)

Many thanks! My Samsung Galaxy S6 is almost brand new and these problems occurred right from the start, so I was sure that I had to send it back, but after trying your magical tip, my phone is full of life again and I can even use a plastic cover on it, laying free on the table, and the buttons are still functioning, amazing!
Sorry by the way for my bad English, its not my native language.

I have today put a new screen protector on my edge and I now have to press the screen with a lot more pressure to get a response.
I really hope Samsung will resolve this in the next update.
Why oh why did they ever do away with being able to adjust the "touch screen sensitivity!!??" What possible reason could there be for that!?

Christ on a Cracker, THANK YOU. This fixed my issue for me.

I'm on a Sprint s6, I started having sensitivity issues about a month after getting the phone on Black Friday. Was getting progressively worse. Thank Dog for Google, and thank Dog for this solution.
