Screen sensitivity

I feel that the screen is a lot less sensitive than my Droid 2. I have to apply reasonable pressure to get it to respond, especially using the on-screen keyboard which is honestly sucking at this point.

It also doesn't seem to support multi-touch like my D2 did. I have to completely release the previous letter before moving on to the next one.

There is no option to calibrate. I'm honestly getting extremely frustrated with how crappy the on-screen keyboard is. I need to post a video of the difference in speed using the on-screen keyboard on a D2 and TB. Night and day.

Sorry. My mistake. I was thinking of calibrating the actual keyboard. Short answers cuz I'm at work.

My apologies.

No worries. I'm just getting that feeling in the pit of my stomach that I just won't be able to deal with the delay in the on-screen keyboard.

So here's something weird. After being on my tbolt for a while I decided to take my wife's tbolt and add certain apps and tweak for batt etc. I immediately noticed that her screen is def not as responsive as mine. On mine, I truly love it! The sensitivity is so good that sometimes it feels as if a button would get pressed just from me hovering over it without touching the screen. On my wife's I really have to apply too much pressure in order to register a press of a button or to swipe the home screens left or right.

I also went into recalibrate screen and it didn't help and I also reset calibration and it didn't help.

What to do?

Green laser I am with you sometimes I think my screen lets me tap with just hovering, I believe we are seeing that ALL devices are not built a like.

I think this thread is onto something. Here are my findings:

It seems to me that the longer the phone has been "up" without a reboot. The less sensitive the screen gets. My phone will go from being able hover over a button to push it, to having to firmly and slowly press a button. At that point I do a restart and it is fixed. Try to see if this is the case for your guys too.

I'll go on record as having a super sensitive screen too.

I've got a hover screen too - and it is annoying. That should be a software fix, no?

At least it's good to know I'm not the only one - that means there's a chance they will fix it.

On the keyboard mine will almost anticipate the letter. Just move my finger over the letter. On other screens I sometimes have to tap 3 or 4 times on somethings.

The non physical buttons on the bottom too are a bit of a pain. Holding the phone in one hand I sometimes find that I hit the search button often without intending on it.

Anyway to fix the keyboard issue? Mine does the same the more I text it will slow down. Very ignoring. Anyone try another keyboard from the market?

I've noticed there is a lag and decreased sensitivity on mine when it's plugged in and the battery gets to 99%. As soon as I unplug it, it goes back to being really sensitive.

That's the only issue I've found with mine so far, and it's a minor one.

I'm on my second thunderbolt so far. The first one had a really stiff on/off button. Now on the second thunderbolt On the bottom right of the screen under the search button i hold down right there and the corner of the screen discolors. Now its not just because it's a touch screen i tried it on two of my friends Thunderbolts & my GF's and they don't do it. :'(
