Screen staying on

My wife's Note 9 has been staying on in her purse, burning through battery. When she notices it, it isn't on the lock screen, but unlocked and showing the last thing she looked at. I have the timeout set for 15 seconds, and have tried the block accidental touches setting (off and on). No change. I have not had the issue with my phone. Hers was set up from scratch, FWIW.

Anyone else see this?

Check the developer settings and see if "stay awake" is enabled. Hope this helps!

Good thought, but Developer mode not enabled on her phone...

Wipe cache partition. Failing that, wipe and install + restore - though watch what apps are installed.
Use FB Lite or even web browser (better if FB is disabled though).

I know you have the screen timeout set but what is the Secure Lock Settings set too? Also, is the home button set to hard press to bypass lock screen?
