Hi, I have preordered the Exynos version of the S10+ here in the UK but am about to travel to the US soon where I could pick up the SD version.

Wondering whether to keep the order or cancel. The biggest concern being the battery life being poor on the Exynos version.

With the UK preorder, I do get the Prism green and a big discount with the trade in price which will not be the case in the US but then again I expect to keep the phone for 3 years.

How bad is the Exynos version vs. the SD in real terms? Has anyone had a chance to compare both?

To be honest as of now there are mixed reviews. I'v seen reviews exynos getting worst battery problems but i've also seen reviews where exynos got good battery. If you can i would wait for atleast a week or 2. Since they say 1week is some sort of adjusting period for the battery.

I have the Exynos version and it's decidedly laggier and slower than my former Note 9's 845 chipset

The SD will perform better, but whether or not the difference will be noticeable enough to spend the extra money is up to you.

So no clear evidence of decent battery on the Exynos. Very disappointing for Samsung to sell a poor version outside the US market.

Just another follow up question - does audio call recording work with the SD855? If so, may as well pick up the phone in the US than buy here in the UK.

How about battery life though?
Pretty terrible. I get around 2 1/2 to 3 hours of SoT and have had to charge the battery around noon-ish every day since I've had it. It'll also drain about 6-10% per hour just idling.

Phone gets very hot after a few minutes of medium use and starts throttling after that

Can you download and install spy battery from playstore then check your deep sleep time? You might not be using your phone but it might not enter into deep sleep properly. There is a thread here about that.
