Seidio 3500mAh Battery for the Incredible

That is the most rediculous looking thing I've ever seen. :( Why why why the stupid Pyramid pop-up design on the back. I'd rather it look like a brick than that.

You must not get out much then.

Come on man. That backplate is goofy as hell. They should have just made the whole thing solid instead of utilizing the weird popup effect. Seidio makes a good product but that thing is ugly.

Amazon just got them in and shipped mine out yesterday. $49.99 shipped!

sent from my badass incredible

Not a bad price on them at all! Hell I paid $41 for my 1750!!! I guess after I get my iZel in my next purchase will be the Proclip, then I have to figure out if that battery will fit into the generic device holder from Proclip....if it does I'm sold I think.

As I said, not everyone will like it, but the stepped design does make it easier to hold than if it was a brick... If they designed it like a brick, I honestly think it would be too big to hold comfortably... However, it's all a matter of opinion...

CRKhead - Mine is arriving on Monday. Please give us an updated review. Every two days ROCKS. However, frankly I need to live vicariously through you until Tuesday morning.

Yeah I would like to get some additional feedback from people about this battery. I'm getting close to saying the heck with it and ordering it, I just really like my case :(

do you need to fully discharge this the first time after charging it full for it to be utilized properly? i have never had my phone fully discharged and i don't want to. am i going to be not using this battery properly if thi don't fully discharge it? the instructions that came with the battery never said that. said fully charge for 8-10 hours and that's all but i've read on other threads that one has to fully discharge after the initial charge.

thanks for any help. didn't want to not use it properly.

My first charge was done powered off, and I bump charged it... I didn't do any of the power on, power off stuff... All you need to do is charge until green, unplug until LED light goes out, plug in again, and repeat once more when green...

You DON'T have to fully discharge the battery, although it does help every once in a while and I would probably recommend using the battery down to at least 30-35% during the first few cycles, just to help calibrate the phone's Battery Charge File in the OS (not sure the name of the file, Qazme knows it)...

Also, due to the Incredible's "charging issues", leaving the cable plugged in after the LED turns green does NOTHING. Bump charging would simulate leaving the cable plugged in on another phone, or on an external charger.

My final thoughts are that this battery blows the stock, 1750, and 2150's out of the water... I unplugged yesterday at 4AM to go fishing... Used Nav for a total of 4 hours during the day, constant texting, picture taking, Facebook updates, Google Map searching, and web surfing... At 10PM, I went to bed with 50% battery left...

Bottom line: Your case will NOT fit without a MOD (or until Seidio releases their extended Innocase) and you may not like the extra bulk (even though I do), but if you need this phone to last a LONG time, you need this battery...

People wanted to see the comparison of the 3500 back cover with the 2150 back cover... I put both on a flat surface, 2150 in front and did my best to take a picture directly level with the 2150 back cover to show the slight difference...

Here's a top view that shows the slight differences in the curves... This is why a case modded for the 2150 will NOT work with the 3500...

Now 2 level (or as close as I could get) views of the backing covers to show to slight height difference of the 3500 cover... 2150 in front...

As I said, I tried to get as level as possible to show the difference but, obviously, seeing things in person are a much better representation of the facts... I hope this helps everyone.

Hell ya looks like I only need to take a little off the bottom of my mod cases from the 2150. After seeing that carbon fiber back cover I'm going to try to make one for the 3500 to fit the seidio naked holster because I carry it holstered inside of my pocket.

One other final final point... As I said, last night was my first charge with the power on and no bump charging or topping off... The battery finished charging early last night and I unplugged it several hours later at around 8AM... It immediately dropped to about 90%... This is a product of the Incredible's "charging issues" as when I power off before charging and bump charged, it stays at 100% for about an hour or so... So, now you know my starting point...

I decided to make a new theme and started from scratch... Downloaded beautiful widgets, made some changes and added new widgets... All was said and done by 10AM... I immediately noticed that my 3G activity was constant and the UP/DOWN arrows were either both lit or cycling back and forth consistently, never shutting off... I went about my day using the phone as I normally do, and hours went by... Every time I checked the phone, 3G activity... I just got home a little while ago and found through process of elimination, my ScoreCenter Widget was keeping the 3G antennae constantly active. I removed the widget, the 3G symbol and arrows grayed out and haven't come back on... This was about 9:30, 15 minutes ago...

Bottom line is, 3G has been active for 12 hours straight, the battery started at 90%, but I still have a 20% charge remaining... I don't know if the battery will test at exactly 3500mAh, but if I had ANY of the other batteries installed... My battery would have died hours ago due to this glitch... This is my first Seidio product and I can honestly say, I am VERY happy with it...

That battery charge file is called the batterystats.bin file. If you are rooted I have a thread in the ROMs/Hacks forum showing how to delete and rebuild that file to calibrate and start over. Some people it helps some people don't see a difference. I noticed a difference in mine by about 2 hours then added another hour to my battery by running the undervolted hydra kernel. YMMV.
