What does the SD card have to do with it? It doesn't involve d/l a file and side loading like with a Pixel?

I know nothing, but I would think you could download it to your pc and odin it over to your device and then install it in external downloads. who knows?

Sd card sideload is you put the update zip file on your sd card and go into recovery and update that way . No adb commands or computer and install 15 minutes or faster.
