Do you know if the Canadian Note 20 Ultra can be flashed to the T-Mobile firmware and thus gain eSIM capability?

I believe you could , you would prince comsey Odin from xda and frija , do you know the rest?I don't have one, but it will be a N986W and will be Snapdragon. I don't have the exact build info, etc, but I'm pretty sure this (Canadian to US) is a conversion that was done successfully with recent flagships.

Tmobile doesn't have much bloatWhen You Flashed the T-Mobile Firmware, did You also get All of the BLOATWARE!?
I had Purchased an Unlocked Note 20 Ultra from BestBuy just because I HATE BLOATWARE and it uses up System Resources and can't be Uninstalled Unfortunatly.
Even with the Unlocked Models, there's a little bit of BLOATWARE but it ALL can be Uninstalled.
Tmobile doesn't have much bloat
They have apps such as this to do that job or stay on the unlocked version.I Don't want ANY Carrier BLOATWARE on Any of My Phones.
BLOATWARE should be 100% Uninstallable instead of just stopping it from running until the Next Software Update that Re-Enables it which then uses the system resources again.
They have apps such as this to do that job or stay on the unlocked version.

I use the app , once disabled it doesn't run .In sort of a way it sounds just ok except for it Don't say anything about being able to uninstall apps as well as that it will be an app that sits on the Phone as well. There's nothing saying about IF it uses Any System Resources or if so, How Much it will constantly use.

Its a paid app but if you want try a free app which is another good one is here just have to sign up we email.

It will if you choose that option, i also have this app downloaded and get Updates OTAWith Every App there's Good and Bad.
Reading the Details of the App, it STOPS OTA UPDATES!
Not gonna use this App but thanks for the info.
This is the best btw!!They have apps such as this to do that job or stay on the unlocked version.

Thanks for your feedback on this , possible a TMobile sim would be needed after the flash that's what I'm thinking also .I just experimented with flashing the T-Mobile firmware on my Canadian SM-N986W, and I wanted to share my takeaways:
1. Flash succeeded with Prince Comsy.
2. A greyed out eSIM (and its IMEI) appeared right away in Settings, About Phone.
3. Settings, About Phone, Status, SIM revealed no MEID for the eSIM.
4. Settings, Connections was missing a SIM Card Manager.
#3 is necessary for activating an eSIM
#4 is necessary for managing a dual SIM phone.
5. Last but not least, T-Mobile doesn't use band N66 for 5G, and I don't know if not having a t-mobile SIM led to errors 1-4, but even if it did, getting 5G to work on Bell was not going to be straightforward.
After this adventure, I flashed my 986W back to the Canadian firmware and started praying that one day it will be updated to support DSDS![]()
