Settings so that my external SD card is visible to 2nd party audio receivers

I have a Denon Home Audio Receiver and a Kenwood Car Stereo. Both have the ability to connect to my Droid Razr via USB to get music files via USB Mass Storage Mode. Problem I am having is they are only seeing the music if I put it on the Internal SD card. I prefer to keep my music on the 16GB external SD card I have in the phone since the internal SD only has 8 GB. Is there some setting I can use to make this happen?
