Share burst mode photos on Nexus 6P

Going to buy the Nexus 6P. Wondering if I could share burst mode photos on Whatsapp. They seems to be gifs but I do not want to convert it to mp4 but I really loves the animated photos.

From what I gathered from the presentation, burst mode photos are just regular photos. You will have the option to make an auto awesome or a gif with them later.

The burst photos will likely be a series of one photos that can be made into gifs. Galaxy S6 already does this, some other phones too I'm sure. Google Photos can handle the creation of the gifs, or there are stand alone options as well, if you want to make them into some other format.
